Fab Lab Permian Basin and Odessa College’s Phillips Goff Gallery aim to showcase the creative diversity that enriches our community. Art is a transformative process that expands across many mediums, methods, techniques, and tools. We are calling for art that celebrates the unique possibilities and ideas of a Maker.
We invite artists from all backgrounds to submit work celebrating the many possibilities in making. Through these submissions, we aim to create a phenomenal show that engages the viewer, provides insight and ideas, and serves as a muse for our community.
To highlight the possibilities of both traditional methods and mediums and the many possibilities of digital fabrication our show will be open to all 2D and 3D artwork.
Consideration will include but not be limited to: Digital Art, CNC, CAD, 3D Prints, Laser Engraving, Laser Cutting, Costume, Electronics, Robotics, Painting, Sculpture, Drawing, Printmaking, Sewing, Crochet, Knitting, Ceramics, Photography, Welding, Woodworking, Textiles, Jewelry, Crafts, Architecture, Resin, Stained-glass, Glasswork.
Artists who enter the Maker Show will also have the opportunity to present a 1 to 3-hour workshop. If you are interested in teaching a workshop in the Fab Lab Space, please submit a workshop proposal with your application. The committee will pick 3 artists to highlight in the Maker Workshop Series.
